Christmas Break in Granada, Spain

The first time my husband and I visited Granada in Andalusia, Spain, we were backpackers in our 20’s staying in youth hostels and subsisting on mostly bread, cheese, olives, and oranges 🙂 spain 3-180008

Jump forward 18 years, and we were parents on a Christmas Break road trip to Granada from Lisbon with our two kids.IMG_5477

We rented a modest little apartment near Plaza Nueva with a rooftop view of the Alhambra – an excellent location for walking.IMG_5279

The weather was cold, but look at the Andalusian sky!

Granada is a great winter destination – amazing architecture, a rich history and mix of cultures, sunny skies, and snow play in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
