I greatly admire a culture and cosmology that can build with such skill and harmony. This is my photo journal of our spectacular day winding through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and exploring the ruins of Pisac, Urco, and Ollantaytambo.
The mountains are calling
Near Pisac, we made a quick stop at a Peruvian jewelry shop.
Recently harvested cornfield
Now farmers grow flowers on the terraces.

Once an Inca administrative center and one of the last hold outs.
Templo del Agua
Waiting for our ride – time to head back to Cusco
Local specialty – roasted guinea pig on a stick.
Ahhhhhh Andes! (I knew as a kid I would someday visit)
Up next – the 2 day Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu.
